In his own words:

“I still vividly remember my first triathlon in 1995 – a sprint-distance race in Atlantic Beach, Florida. I drove down the morning of the event with my dad to register. I had never even seen a triathlon except for Ironman® Hawaii on TV. As I eagerly unpacked my gear from the back of the car, I frantically looked around at the other athletes to see what they were doing and tried to imitate them. I nervously lined up with the athletes in my wave at the swim start. When the starting gun went off, all of my fear and anxiety disappeared and I lost myself in the activity. I finished in the middle of my age group that race, and I was instantly hooked on the sport. I want to share my 14 years of experience with others to that they can experience that feeling. I am very excited to work with Krista and the other instructors developing the She Does Tri camps.”

Thank you both for putting together such a great camp.  This is one of the best ways to promote this sport, get women involved and motivated, and to take the 'fear' out of starting something new."
